Disable Yaesu Wires for Good

There is a really annoying function in many of the Yaesu radios called WIRES.
There is a single touch button (left volume knob on many mobiles and the Zero key on many handhelds) with a "Nuclear" looking symbol above it to quick enable/disable it.
This is meant to be used in conjunction with the Yaesu proprietary linking system called WIRES. It is much like IRLP, except that it uses a single DTMF tone every time you key up.
The problem is that more times that not, we inadvertently enable this. When enabled, the radio sends a touch tone that covers up the first second or two of whatever we are saying.
Fortunately, KB6OT has a solution:
Now even if you accidently enable this, it will not send out a DTMF digit covering your audio.
