Green Bay Mike & Key Club Christmas Party…       The Annual GBM&K Christmas Party with 47 attendees took place on December 14th at the Village Grille.  They enjoyed a nice buffet dinner with a surprise entertainment from the Barbershop Quartet from Manitowoc. This was a wonderful addition to the celebration - thanks to John WØLFE for making that arrangement. During the evening, a series of dancing elves were being displayed on the monitors in the room..  The faces of the dancers happened to be some of the Club members. Bill KB3KYH, committee chairman,  did the artistry that brought smiles.  A surprise award of a Life Membership was presented to Dave,  N8KQS.  A White Elephant gift exchange took place with a very wide choice of items.. Pink tickets were given to the Ladies in attendance. That winning ticket holder won a Holiday centerpiece provided by Sally Duveneck.  A nice social time after indicated the party was well received.. Thank you to the Christmas Party Committee.

Looking back at the past year…
Activities are an important part of any club. They need to be diverse to cover most of the membership. We seem to have met most of those goals.
As most of you know, St. Norbert College has been quite generous with us and in January, we presented a check to the President of St. Norbert College.  In February, we had the start of the nominations for Ham Of The Year.. In March, The presentation for that award was at the Annual Awards Banquet at the Woods Banquet Hall to Dave KD9HJJ as well an award of appreciation to Paul Racine KBØP President of the Club.
Also in March, was the Wisconsin QSO Party where we see how many counties in Wisconsin we can contact in 8 hours..

April saw better weather and more antenna work. That is when Robert KA9BXG, lead the group in assisting in the annual MS Walk in W. De Pere. One of the community assistance programs we provide the needed communications.
We also saw the change in the Club’s mailing address from a PO Box number to the Treasurer’s address.
Larry K9IQ, and Gene AB9GK, put in a grounding system for all  the electronics in the “shack” at St. Norbert as well as lightning arrestors in the antenna coax.
MAY  started with a Brat Barn led by  Keith, KS9WI.. a good means to raise funds and have a good time doing it. --  Some of the Club members attended the Hamvention in Ohio—
We participated with medical communications with the Cell Comm Marathon and will again in 2024..
JUNE Began with the Club’s Hamfest with the help of Randy, W9HAM to have it at Our Savior Lutheran School. A good time and very active. The best thing was  the good help with the event by the members of the Club… Thanks again to you !!! (ps the next one is June 1st 2024)
Rounded the month with Field Day at Four Seasons Park .. a great location and had a great dinner there as well  - 24 hours of radio and camaraderie.

August Began with our participation with Lighthouses On The Air in Green Bay at the Grassy Island Range lights as a special event station.. then we activated the Kewaunee Pierhead Lighthouse the following weekend as a special event during their open house and they have asked us back for 2024.
    The Summer Picnic was canceled
Tech Talks before the regular meetings were resumed.
October began nominations for Executive Board Members..
A Scouting month.. with a day at Bear Paw Camp with the STEMpede helping with the Radio Merit Badge…  then two weeks later at The Scout Center near New Franken with Jamboree On The Air and radio merit badge assistance.
November Annual Corporation Meeting - Election of Board Members. The slate was filled and a unanimous ballot was cast for all nominees… Thanks to the outgoing Board Members for your leadership.

A year that was filled with activity that hopefully you were able to- not only attend, but were able to participate in.. ‘til next year … 73 .. Out.. (click)            Helping to keep you --Radio Active….      Come and join in…
