Radio Happenings May 27, 2022..
Writing this on Friday Morning the 27th, 6AM.
I had
never been there and the whole time was an experience.
Thursday
was set up day. From putting up two large tents, setting up tables, placing the
trays of items for sale. And if you ever saw what they have, you know it was a
bunch. It was late when we finished.
The next
morning we saw that it had rained during the night. Arriving early, the
evidence of sagging tents heavy with rain water. The trays had been covered
with tarps so they were ok but pushing the water off the tents wet the area and
some of us. But by the time the gates opened, we were mostly ready.
The experience
of the others showed as they jumped right into helping find the items that were
being sought out.
That was one day with more days to follow.. will tell perhaps over a cup of coffee.
It was a
great experience.. wish I could come back again to see more of the vendors in
the many buildings on the Fair Grounds.
It would fill all three days…..
So that is one
reason for the delay in this newsletter…..

Radio Happenings May 9, 2022..
Just came in after picking up dead branches and found that my USA flag broke the cord… I did not hear the flapping of Old Glory right after 2:30pm. Anytime the temp reaches a nice temperature, something else happens and I cannot fly my kites… If I tried today, I may have had to tie myself to a tree… OK, I’m not that light..

Plans
continue to be grafted into a working model for the “swap”. Diagrams, sketches
and numbers are put into Excel sheets and Google maps to lay out a flow of
traffic.
A lot of things to consider-- table layout, food, parking, setting up and
taking down etc… The biggest factor -the people resource. Not
the customers – but the volunteers to make this happen. If all those that
raised their hand and voted
for this event, volunteered.. no problem… Please plan now to volunteer for this… Contact Pres. Paul KBØP, kbØp@yahoo.com
