Radio Happenings 4.21.24

Good things happen all the time...   and you can be part of it...  The Club's first Brat Barn was yesterday at Festival East.  A bit cool start and finish but the brisk business kept all pretty warm.. The usual frozen brats did not help the cooking but the experienced charcoal chefs were able to keep up with the demand. The seven empty cases that the bratwurst came in, gave testimony to the sales.  Kudos to the workers... (did someone pay $50 for a burger?)
More good news..  The Ham Cram on the previous Saturday, went well with Rick, W9OBB at the podium (if we had a podium). The word CRAM well described the Tower Room where the class was held.. Well, maybe packed,  is better>  The number of successful passing grades give proof for that .. Thank you to the Volunteer Examiners that gave up their Saturday evening to give the tests.. Results were:::16 new Technicians, 5 to the General level and 1 new Extra class.   Our next scheduled testing is set for during the Ham Fest of June 1st... IF you or someone you know are planning to take the tests on that day, be sure they know what is needed to bring with them to the test...

Here is a historical item found in the Club's Vault of Memories..
