The FCC recently approved the change from symbol rate to bandwidth for

digital modes on 160m and HF (also known as Greater Flexibility in

Digital Communications). For more details, visit the news item about

this on the ARRL website. The FCC will also be looking for comments on

bandwidth on 2200m, 630m, and VHF/UHF in a forthcoming comment period.

If you do not get QST magazine, you should borrow one and read all the expected changes that are being requested to enlarge the Tech Level operating choices.  Techs.. if you do not have a mentor(Elmer).. let the Club know and assistance should be forthcoming…   Gen’s and Extra.. to keep the new operators, we must give them assistance and keep them active…

While we’re waiting, get on our bands and enjoy Amateur Radio.  There is a nice new band plan page in the November QST…

If you have a FM Dual Band Base radio, that you are looking to sell, let me know – there are some operators wanting to do more but cannot with just a ht… reasonably priced…   TKS
